Those currently eligible to receive Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations from the 88 MDG include all TRICARE eligible beneficiaries ages 12 and up, WPAFB active-duty members, and Department of Defense civilians and contractors

PFIZER COVID-19 VACCINE:

Mondays: 8am-3:30pm

Tuesdays: 8am-noon

Wednesdays: 1pm-3:30pm

Thursdays: 1pm-3:30pm

Fridays: 8am-noon

Hours beyond Oct 22 will be published next week.

Appointments are not required during the above dates and times and COVID-19 vaccines will be administered in the MDG Auditorium. There is reserved parking available in the back on the hospital.

*While we await official Air Force guidance regarding the COVID-19 vaccine process for WPAFB contract employees, we will continue to offer the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to WPAFB Contractors on the same temporary schedule. Contract employees with questions should contact their respective companies.

PFIZER COVID-19 BOOSTER DOSE:

The 88th Medical Group is also still providing a single booster dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to eligible individuals on the same temporary schedule listed above. In addition to the eligibility requirements listed below, you must have completed your two-dose Pfizer series at least 6 months ago. The following groups are eligible for a booster:

  • People 65 years and older and residents in long-term care settings
  • People aged 18–64 years with underlying medical conditions
  • People aged 18–64 years who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting

Individuals not meeting criteria for the booster shot are not recommended to receive it. If you have questions you should talk to your healthcare provider.

PFIZER COVID-19 3RD DOSE:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is recommending people, whose immune systems are compromised moderately to severely, receive an additional (3rd) dose of mRNA COVID-19 vaccine at least 28 days after a second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. [select "Second Dose" when scheduling]

The Wright-Patterson Medical Center is offering the additional dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for immunocompromised beneficiaries based on the following criteria:

  • Receiving active cancer treatment for solid tumors or cancers of the blood.
  • Received an organ transplant and are taking medicine to suppress the immune system.
  • Received a stem cell transplant within the last 2 years or are taking medicine to suppress the immune system.
  • Moderate or severe primary immunodeficiency (such as DiGeorge syndrome, Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome).
  • Advanced or untreated HIV infection.
  • Active treatment with high-dose corticosteroids or other drugs that may suppress your immune response.

    Anyone who has additional questions or feels they meet the criteria, but their condition is not listed should contact their provider team.

      Please note the following guidelines concerning your visit:

    • Masks are required when visiting the vaccination location.
    • Wear a loose-fitting top as the injection is administered in the upper arm.
    • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment in order to complete your registration.
    • DHA Form 207 is required to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Forms are available on-site.
    • There is a 15 minute wait after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. We ask that you remain in the waiting area for observation before leaving.

    Additional information:

  • Medical providers are on-call to address questions and concerns regarding the vaccine.
  • At times, rescheduling of appointments is necessary. When registering, please provide your most current contact information in case we need to reach out to you regarding your appointment. For the most up-to-date information about vaccination availability call (937) 257-SHOT [7468].

    IF YOU REQURE A 2ND OR 3RD DOSE OF THE MODERNA VACCINE, AND YOU ARE ACTIVE DUTY, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR UNIT POC. ALL OTHER BENEFICARY GROUPS WILL NEED TO SEEK A VACCINATION SITE WITHIN THE COMMUNITY.
