DUE TO STAFFING CHANGES, NAVAL HEALTH CLINIC OAK HARBOR (NHCOH) IMMUNIZATIONS DEPARTMENT WILL BE LIMITED TO SERVING ENROLLED PATIENTS OF NHCOH AND OTHER MILITARY SERVICE MEMBERS. FLU SHOTS:

**ATTENTION TO CHANGES** Starting the 22nd of November NHCOH will offer walk-in Flu shots Monday thru Friday 0800-1200. Check-in at the front desk of Immunizations where more information will follow. These flu-shots will be first come first serve and the last patient will be checked in no later than 1150.

Additional avenues for receiving flu shots.

  1. PEDIATRIC CUSTOMERS: Ask for more information once you’re checked in for your Pediatric appointment.
  2. FAMILY MEDICINE CUSTOMERS: Ask for more information once you’re checked in for your Family Medicine appointment.

COVID SHOTS: (EUA: Emergency Use Authorization)

  • For 1st dose of either Moderna or COMIRNATY (Pfizer-BioNTech) select the "COVID-19 Vaccine - Initial" selection.
  • For 2nd or 3rd dose of either Moderna or COMIRNATY select the "COVID-19 Vaccine - Second Dose" selection.
  • For BOOSTER dose of either Moderna or COMIRNATY select the "COVID-19 Additional Dose" selection.
It is important that you bring your COVID-19 Vaccination Card and a valid Government ID.

**ATTENTION TO CHANGES**

Moderna: By appointment ONLY on Monday thru Friday. Under EUA, Moderna is authorized for 18 years of age and older.

  • MON/WED/FRI: AM and PM appointments available.
  • TUE/THUR: Only AM appointments available.

COMIRNATY: By appointment ONLY on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Under EUA, COMIRNATY is authorized for 12 years and FDA approved for 16y/o and older.

  • TUE/THUR: Only PM appointments available. COMIRNATY shots are only given after 1300. DO NOT try to schedule in the AM or your appointment will be cancelled.
For Moderna and COMIRNATY it is important that you get the same vaccine for 1st and 2nd doses however a booster shot of either Moderna or COMIRNATY can be given interchangeably at least 6 months after getting the 2nd dose. 2nd dose of Moderna is 28 days after 1st and 2nd dose of COMIRNATY is 21 days after 1st. It is important to know the difference between 3rd dose and the Booster shot.

3rd Dose: It must be at least 28 days between 3rd and 2nd dose and this option is for patients that are immunocompromised and referred by provider. For more info visit; https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/recommendations/immuno.html

Booster Dose: It must be at least 6 months after either your 2nd or 3rd dose. For Moderna this dose is half the normal dose size. There is no change in dose size for COMIRNATY.
