Naval Health Clinic Oak Harbor is now offering the Flu, Moderna and Pfizer vaccines. If we are not able to provide you with an appointment please seek out other options. The following websites are not all inclusive but serve as alternative aids. Flu: https://www.fluzone.com/flu-shot-locator; Covid-19: https://vaccinelocator.doh.wa.gov/ **Please read directions or your appointments may be cancelled**.

1. Flu Vaccine: By appointment only Monday thru Friday. This vaccine is available for Prime patients enrolled to the MTF, 6 mo. to 65 y/o (Flulaval quadrivalent) and 65+ y/o (Fluad Quadrivalent).

2. Moderna Vaccine: By appointment only Wednesdays. This vaccine is available to ALL eligible TRICARE beneficiaries 18 years of age and older.

3. Pfizer-BioNTech Vaccine: By appointment only Tuesdays and Thursdays. This vaccine is available for ALL eligible TRICARE beneficiaries 16 years of age and older.

NOTE:

  • Moderna is only offered Wednesdays
  • Pfizer is only offered Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • If appointment times are greyed out this means the appointments are filled for that day. If the timing of your shot is critical then going out in town might be your best option. If not then please seek the next available appointment.

For both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, it is important that you get the same vaccine for both shots. You will be eligible to get the 2nd dose of Moderna at 28 days and the 2nd dose of Pfizer at 21 days. 3rd Doses: For now please schedule under the 2nd dose appointment type. This option is for patients that are immunocompromised and referred by provider.

Please bring your CAC ID or military ID. If you are returning for the second dose, please bring the COVID-19 Vaccination Card that was issued.

Secondary effects of the vaccine include low grade fever, headache, muscle ache and fatigue. Effects have been reported at a higher rate after the second dose. These effects are usually mild to moderate and reflect the body’s response to the vaccination. From a study in the New England Journal of Medicine the second dose boosts the effectiveness of the vaccination from just over 50% to 95%.

If you are unable to get an appointment, we ask for patience. As vaccines become available, we will open the appointment schedule and announce on our official NHCOH Facebook page, NHCOH command webpage or call NHCOH COVID Vaccine Hotline @ (360) 257-9618.
